About Me

Tasfia Tasneem Ahmed is a Research Associate at BIGM. Her current research interests are Sustainable Finance and ESG, Development Economics, Financial Markets and Regulation. Before joining BIGM, she completed her MSc from Cranfield School of Management, UK, with a thesis titled ""Does M&A Influence Acquirer’s Firm Value and ESG Performance? Evidence from US Acquirers"" for which she received a distinction. Prior to her MSc, she was a Financial Analyst at Corporate Finance Division of Beacon Pharmaceuticals Limited. She has extensive experience working in the corporate finance sector. She possesses advanced research skills and in-depth understanding of financial analysis, valuation, economics, international financial markets, financial modelling and corporate financial management. Tasfia received her Bachelor degree from the Department of Finance, University of Dhaka. She is passionate about foreign languages and holds a three-year Diploma in Spanish from Inditex Chair of Spanish Language and Culture (Cátedra Inditex de Lingua e cultura españolas) at University of Dhaka. Tasfia is a trained vocalist of Indian classical music, likes to paint, read and travel to historical places.
